It amazes me how many business get online to sell there wares without conducting any marketing research. Market research is critical for the beggining stages of any successful online venture. To the most miniscule extent, one must consider if there is enough demand in the marketplace for them to carve a niche. Who is the target market and are they buying products/services online, or at least learning about it online? What will be will be an success indicator and how will you evaluate what you are doing?

Market research is your key ingrediant to your online success. There are many tools out there in the online world and the offline marketplace that can help you guage whether or not a there is enough buyers in the marketplace in the online arena. Google Trends is a fascinating one, but when you actually want to discover the lists of other information that people are looking for, you will have to look into other online services for actual keywords people are using. But honestly, no single tool or service is going to yeild financial freedom, because if that were the case, once everyone discovered it, then you would be in the same pool as everyone else, vying for customer aquistions. |
